Orthopaedic footwear designed, engineered and crafted by French company Podowell is considered among the best in the world. Podowell has been established since 1930, consistently producing comfortable, practical and washable footwear that has provided support to countless people living with diabetes, oedema, lymphoedema, post-operative swelling, neuropathy and other conditions that cause swollen, sore or otherwise painful feet.
The collection of Podowell footwear proudly supplied by Reed Medical includes:
Designed for wear in both the outdoor and indoor environment, Podowell Altitude boots are a perfectly-balanced combination of strong fabric uppers with anti-slip, feather-light soles. Each boot can be opened fully which, in conjunction with an extra-large fitting, allows for the footwear to be put on and taken off easily, even when feet are swollen or bandaged. Special sanitised material keeps odours and bacteria away: the antibacterial properties of this material continue to function unimpaired even after a machine wash at 40 degrees.
The return of warmer weather can make sore, swollen feet even more irritated and uncomfortable. Awell sandals feature a closed back and an open toe, allowing air to circulate around the feet and keep them at a pleasant and comfortable ambient temperature. Lightweight and easily fastened and unfastened with a strong velcro strip, Awell wide-fit open-toe sandals come complete with 9mm insoles but these can be easily removed to enable custom insoles to be inserted in their place.
