Having your shoes made by Reed Medical
We do not carry stocks of our footwear as all our shoes are made to order. You won't find prices on our website for 'made to measure' footwear as your prescription will vary from the next, dependant on your particular requirements. Our adult footwear starts at £150.00 depending on style and prescription. Our children's footwear starts at £108.00 and again will depend on style, size and prescription. You will require an appointment to assess and measure vary's by clinic, it is upto you to determine with with your chosen Clinic.
You will visit a private clinic we work with, where a an initial consultation will be carried out by collecting all necessary medical information regarding your lower limb and vascular needs. An examination will then be carried out along with a draft and measurements of your feet and maybe pictures if we think this would be helpful to the technicians when making your shoes. Your options will be discussed to decide if a standard last or bespoke is the most suitable and an indication of costs. Please note that this is only an indication as any alterations required to the last
At this consultation you will have the 1st fitting of your footwear, this will be the shoe made in the leather you chose but without the sole. You will be asked to put these on so that the fit can be checked in all the right places, should your shoes need any alterations it is easy to carry these out at this stage of production.
At this visit you will be fitted with your finished footwear and you can take them away with you. At Reed Medical we pride ourselves on making a quality product with the best service. Should you have any problems whilst wearing your footwear you must contact the Clinician immediately for a solution.
