Pure silver has long been known to have special qualities, which bring certain benefits when used as a shoe lining.

The key benefits of this new area of innovation are:

Anti Microbial
Tests conducted have shown that “See it Safe” eliminates 99.9% of over 800 known bacteria, including MRSA, within one hour of contact. “See it Safe” becomes more effective in warm and damp conditions; as a shoe liner, therefore, you potentially have the optimum conditions for maximum effect. As the silver is irreversibly bound to a polymer as part of the fibre, it is permanent and its effect does not diminish over time.

Anti Odour
Ammonia and denatured proteins are significant contributors to foot odour, yet both bind most readily to silver, therefore resulting in instant odour reduction.

The Warm Foot Dilemma
In a warm scenario radiation is not the primary cause of heat transfer, conduction, evaporation and convection have to be addressed.

Silver is the most thermally conductive element. “See it Safe” therefore works quickly to evenly distribute and transfer heat.

In warm conditions “See it Safe” enhances the body’s natural actions by accelerating the conduction of heat from the skin.

“See it Safe” accelerates the movement of moisture through evaporation allowing for greater comfort in warm weather by minimising moisture contact with the skin

The Cold Foot Dilemma
A cold weather solution must first address radiation, evaporation and convection; “See it Safe” addresses these through reflectivity, emissivity and moisture transfer.

Silver has an Infrared Reflectivity rating of greater than 95%, in other words 95% of the radiative energy that contacts silver will be reflected back to its source. As a result “See it Safe” minimizes radiative heat loss by actively reflecting the body’s energy back to the skin.

Silver has the lowest emissivity rating of any element; it therefore radiates thermal energy very slowly

“See it Safe” enhances the natural movement of moisture through hydrophobic materials the same way the body does, by using evaporation. When “See it Safe” is placed in a moist environment with another hydrophobic material, the conductivity of the silver will act to accelerate the evaporation of moisture.

Anti Static
“See it Safe” contains pure silver and will therefore conduct electricity very efficiently thereby instantly dissipating triboelectric charges resulting in static free, comfortable products.

Anti Fungal
NAMSA, one of the most well respected independent laboratories in the United States, which is both EPA and FDA certified, has carried out testing on X-Static fibre, which indicates the product’s exceptional performance as an anti fungal product, specifically against T. Mengatrophytes, the fungus that causes Athlete’s Foot.

Therapeutic
The bottom of your foot has more than 7,000 nerve endings. The body uses these nerves to transmit electrical signals, including the feeling of pain and discomfort. As silver is the most conductive element, shoes lined with “See it Safe” dissipate these charges resulting in improved wearer comfort.

When electrical currents from the body are distributed throughout the silver fibre, a magnetic field is created around the body. Published studies defend the claim that magnetic fields will potentially increase blood flow and therefore reduce swelling.
